Each is custom made, so yours may not be exactly like this one. Each creation is a One-of-a-Kind piece.
This candle snuffer was created in honor of Brigid, associated with sacred flame, creativity, healing, inspiration, poetry, the hearth, and renewal.
Designed in warm copper tones with accents of red, amber, cream, and soft green, it features a Czech glass goddess bead, a green aventurine bead, and a delicate snowdrop charm.
Green aventurine represents growth, renewal, and the heart, while the snowdrop symbolizes early spring, hope, and new beginnings.
A Brigid’s cross hangs beside the snuffer bell and creates a soft tinging sound when it strikes the metal—a lovely little ceremonial detail when the snuffer is moved.
Both symbolic and functional, it can be used as a candle snuffer or displayed as a special altar or ritual tool. There is a soft tinging sound when Brigid’s cross strikes the bell
Why Snuff a Ritual Candle?
In many ritual and spiritual traditions, a candle flame is intentionally snuffed rather than blown out. Blowing out the flame may be viewed as scattering the energy, intention, or prayer connected with the candle, while snuffing provides a quieter and more deliberate ending to the working.
A ritual candle snuffer can therefore become part of the ceremony itself—closing the ritual with care while reducing blown wax, smoke, and disturbance around the altar.
The hinged bell extinguishes the candle flame gently and deliberately. Its long, textured handle provides comfortable reach for altar candles, jar candles, tapers, and decorative candle displays.
